"White Teeth," USA, 1998, acrylic on canvas, 18"x24"
This picture was painted from a discarded photo from a photolab where I used to work. It is a somewhat aggressive amplification of an anonymous mouth. The teeth could belong to anyone of any gender or any race. They are a portal to expression and nourishment of what we put in to our bodies and what comes out of our mouths.
